Exhalation
2022
The project delves into the means by which thoughts and emotions can be conveyed through written words and received through the act of reading. To accomplish this, I designed a collection of web-based interactive experiences that seek to examine and push the boundaries of our existing reading methods.
Inspired by Ted Chiang's "Exhalation," a world unfolds where air becomes life's wellspring, and atmospheric currents, born of pressure differentials, become the media for thoughts and deeds.
βAll my desires and rumination are no more and no less than eddy currents generated by the gradual exhalation of our universe. And until this great exhalation is finished, my thoughts live on.β This excerpt from the story evokes a serene calmness, leaving me captivated by its elegance and tranquility, leading to the birth of this project.
